i read all the post i made a statement. had a ll ask me for a marriage License once me and the girl laughed in his face. and told him we did not have to prove it one way or the other. and on the apartments i manage had a tent cry not be cause of noise but the fact a good tenant had her significant other over from Friday to sunday

and how the religion did not belive in that sin and she had to speake out on it on them to live like that.(a tenant telling the manager and owner what will be allowed lol) my answer was when was she gonna give notice to move? then she went on a rant on 2 women kissing being sick and it was abuse for the tenants 6 yr old daughter to see it and be left with the other person time too time. the christian cry babay was on a month to month i gave her 90 days to move(judge said it was with in the law as she was a month to month. she also spent a few day in county for harassing the op ) a land lord can not tell you who can visit or how to park on the road i made a blanket statement. my lease says guest no longer than 15 days a month. but i have had one stay 2 months when the came home from the service and they was looking for a job. and my ll was cool with it.

Well you didn't read what I posted. Has nothing to do with them being married or not.

The post states the kids were entering the apt.
In addition the landlord enters as he wishes to turn off the fan she leaves on for the kitten.

All of OP concerns answered in Post #3 by AZ Manager; CA landlord / tenant laws on landlord entry notice ect.

Doesn't matter one bit 'why' the LL wants tenant to park somewhere particular on a public street. It is not enforceable. If it were ever challenged the LL would lose. You can reason it away and try to justify it all you want but as long as the tenant is not breaking any parking laws enforced by the city then they are allowed to park anywhere they want on a public street.

How is it a matter of respect? When I lived in a neighborhood with public street parking, people parked in front of my house all the time (one car even blocked my driveway). But, I put on my big girl panties and realized there's nothing I can do to stop people from parking legally on a public street - except for the person who parked in front of my driveway, that is illegal and it was towed and ticketed. There is no loss of respect unless the neighbors are griping, then it is THEM who have no respect for how the laws work.

Exactly. Just stick to the laws, facts and the enforceable issues. No need to bring up any 'maybe this and maybe that' into the picture. None of that wins anything in court in front of a judge nor do they care.

Unless of course it's an unreasonable request and the landlord wants me to park over a block away from the house when there's plenty of available parking closer.

The landlord might have a good reason for the parking request, such as complaints from neighbors, or the tenant might have been parking in a spot that limited access to part of the property, or the tenant may have been parking in a spot that limited visibility to see on-coming traffic when pulling out of the driveway. In any case, I don't see what the big deal is to park in the spot the landlord asks you to.

What it comes down to is that this tenant isn't going to be happy in this property and they need to move somewhere else asap.
Bull. If any of those issues were a problem then the residents need to take that up with the city and/or police to enforce because it is public property, not private. The ones trying to mandate their own 'laws and rules' regarding public property are the ones breaking the 'laws and rules' if anyone is.

They can tell you that all they want. Doesn't mean you have to listen. It's not something that can be enforced unless it was in the rental agreement. I mean, if they told you where to shop for groceries, would you listen to that too? Now if it was in the agreement, then you agreed to it and there's no room for complaint. If it is, as you said, difficult to find a place within that price range that accepts pets then either realize that you're just going have to make some sacrifices and live with the difficulties or give up the pet and move out. Not too many choices here.
