Ok, I live in Vallejo, California. In the last two weeks my landlord has made 4 attempts to repair a leak on the kitchen sink. Every time they come they say it's fixed but it is not so. Today was the same, the leak is still there and to be honest I am getting frustrated by now since whenever they try to fix the leak I am unable to use the sink for 4 hours. This means I can not cook, do the dishes, if I want to drink water I have to get it from the bathroom sink, which personally it is not very appealing, and the list goes on. I don't know what else to do for the landlord to really fix this leak. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Ohh !! Hearing too bad. You should inform them about your problems and say you can not tolerate more. if they do something then it's okay else you would leave this apartment and looking for best one !!

Is it a leak in the pipe or the faucet itself? If it's the faucet they will most likely have to replace it and it's not expensive to buy a new one or do, have them do it.
If this was my landlord it would take an initial one week to respond to the email about the leak, another week to hire someone to look at leak, 2 two 3 additional weeks to have the person hired by landlord to actually repair the leak. And then in the end I'd probably fight the landlord for my deposit because he would say I shouldn't have used the kitchen sink for that month. Yea, we can just do our dishes in the bathroom.

any LL who ignores a report of a leak is a moron and letting it go can only cause further damage to your property.

One time I had a clog in the bathroom sink that they would come, plunge, then leave. It would always re-occur within the week. This probably went on for a year (though I take some responsibility for that...I was exasperated and just made do using the kitchen sink most of the time). I finally got firm and said "Look - here's what you've been doing, it keeps happening, please look deeper at the cause." I told this to the property manager, as well as leaving a detailed note for maintenance.
I don't know what exactly happened, but when I got home that night, the maintenance guy had used every paper towel I had cleaning up what must have been some sort of sink explosion, and left me a note that a professional plumber would be there the following day.
My point is - get firm, but polite. He has been responsive, so you're already doing well in that area. Just state that obviously something bigger is going on and could he please send a plumber out to get a deeper look at the situation.
