Ok, curiosity is killing me. What was the felony? Or can you give me a hint? Lol
Congrats on finding a house btw
I imagine if she wanted to tell us, she would have already.
More important, to me at least, is that her husband has stayed out of trouble for ten years. I have a nephew, now 44, who had a pretty bad drug conviction when he was 18 or 19. Hasn't been in any type of trouble since, owns his home, married for close to 20 years. It is great when people LEARN from their mistakes.
Glad you found a house. I was going to say it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. I wouldn't offer the information if the application didn't ask, and just take my chances. Don't believe in shooting myself in the foot.

This. Sorry guys
Had my husband not learned from his mistake and become a better man because of it, I would have never married him. I just hate to see the frustration he goes through because of the permanent felony label. He's a good man and his mistake does not define him. With that all being said, and like I mentioned before, don't do the crime if you can't do the time. In the end he knows he was in the wrong and he just has to live with it.
