SoCal Leases - Home

I'm looking to move into a new apartment and I've come across several of this websites listings. They won't tell you the address of the property or let you view it without acquiring a "membership." What is this about? Has anyone used one of these? Pretty sketchy

Took me about 10 seconds to google and find this: Ripoff Report | SoCal Credit Repair & Leases Complaint Review Internet: 1311848 .

YMMV, of course.

(BTW, when I lived in Berkeley CA back in the '80s/'90s, rent control was strong and basically the only way to find an apartment was to go through a listing service and pay a fee. There ARE some areas of the country where fees are common, but they tend to be places where competition for the available properties is fierce.)

You do not need to double post every one of your questions and problems. This has already been answered on your other thread.

It's just a listing service. I imagine once you sign up, you'll be inundated with spam. I bet you could find the same listings elsewhere on the internet and not sign up for anything.

Simple. They want your money.

You'd think that they would at least try to create a website with better content. There (sic) writing could use some improvement, to wit:

"The memberships that we provide do not automatically get renewed on there own, they are automatically canceled on there own once the membership has completed there duration."

It's clear they aren't using the proper their, there, or they're. ;p

Poor grammar and spelling are clear signs of ripoffs.
