At my current place I just moved in with everyone else. Didn't even look at the place until after we moved in. Have my name on the tenant list so I have perfect rental history as I've been at this place 3 years.

Thinking of moving out to a place near work though and just don't want to deal with the headache of finding my own place. Would rather have someone do the leg work and do the research, etc. then I just fill out the forms if I decide I want to do this.

I just know the hell I want through back in 14 when I bought a car and spending a year going back and forth over what to buy.

I'm someone by nature that hates hassles. This is a big hassle.

Any services or the like someone can refer me to? Thanks.

Real Estate agents that work with rentals. Call around in the area you want to live in.

Umm, if it took you a year of "hell" to decide what car to purchase, I'm thinking there's a need for professional help beyond housing assistance.

There definitely are real estate agents that are geared toward rentals. There are also many "apartment finders" type services out there who will drive you around to several listings in one day. But be aware, they will only show you apartments that are listed with them, so you might miss out on better deals just down the street if you only use one of these services.

You could call a property management company. Don't be surprised if they dump their worst, hard-to-place property on you since you won't be comparison shopping, so you won't know what is out there available.
