Since your fiancé is on the lease, why doesn't she go to the office and notify them of the problems?

First, not all mold that is black in color is toxic. My son lives in Chandler so I know about the weather there. Unless you have leaky pipes, it's highly unlikely you have toxic mold.

I lived in an area that had one of the first widely publicized cases of toxic mold. It was in a school in the Midwest. I read daily about the health effects on adults and a few children. I state that to show that I am sensitive to the mold issues.

That said, I strongly suspect that most "mold" cases and much of the fear is related to marketing. I googled black mold and Phoenix. The first page was full of websites offering to clean it for me.

Yes, why doesn't your fiancee go to the office to complain about the roaches in her leased apt?

What happened to the health Dept?

How did your fiancee's mil get qualified for the lease because her daughter is on it if you are the only one paying the bills?

And, yes, where were you all going to live after that lease was up to begin with?

Something doesn't add up here.

Board the 4 cats for a few days, and notify ll of bedbugs, etc. Get them to fix it. If they don't fix it, have fiancee give notice of intent to break lease. Look into public housing for fiancee's mom. You and fiancee move out. Take as little possessions as possible to avoid contaminating new place. Keep your credit up, since your fiancee may end up with judgement.

You need to move. Take as little as possible from the bedbug-infested apartment.

Including the fiancée. This marriage will not end well.

Wow. There are no words.....Ok, well maybe a few:

You need to move before all of you end up being evicted. No one is forcing you to stay there...move and think long and hard about this relationship because your soon to be MIL, will be living with you.
