I currently live in a home with three other roommates. Things aren't going well. The landlord has let one roommare out of the lease. This roommate doesn't have to pay May rent (our last month), and is going to move out two weeks early (Mid-may) in exchange the landlord is just keeping her security deposit ($200). Does the landlord have to provide the same deal equally to me and the other roommates. She is basically letting the fourth roommate off free and the remaining of us (who want to move out early too) having to pay full rent which is $1350. We all have separate, identical leases.
Thanks for the response. You're right, we each pay $450 separately. But my biggest question was if she can give the fourth roommate the deal, and then deny the other three of us the same deal.

She can let one roommate live there for $1 a month and give them free tacos every Wednesday, while charging every other roommate full market rate if she wants.
