Landlord's representative asked illegal question

If I prospective LL asks me my age I will tell them.
They will either reject me or take me.
I made some mistakes in my youth and only seek out small independent LL.
The 2 big ones I rented from ended in disaster due to my own mistakes.

There are plenty of times where your birth date will be required so it's going to be disclosed at some point in the application process.

When I interview I ask non direct questions. Most people tend to start talking anyway. It's amazing how much info I can gather from a simple conversation.

Lol. I do tend to talk, however I also want to see if the LL is someone I can trust as well.
There are some I haven't.
I like an easy going approchable LL. Fair but melts the rules in check.

Truthfully, our rentals are in tip top shape. I don't even like showing them until they are literally clean move in ready
