I am the occupant in an apartment with one other party who is the leaseholder (NY City). My roommate has indicated he may want to leave the apartment, but I wish to stay. Does anyone know what my rights are and what that transition process would be like legally?
Leaseholder WILL Move (eventually). Be prepared for it.

Most of that 'process' will be what the OWNER (landlord) wants it to be.
Thanks. I'm researching succession rights now, but as you indicated, it appears I am at the mercy of the landlord on this one.
