Well, did you read my post at all? It's probably going to take her a while to find someone to sublease from her. More or less depending on the time, location and price of the place.

But continuing to look for someone to replace her is better than paying for the entire duration of the lease.

If she can't find someone soon, she may want to consider paying 1/3rd or more of the rent each month to reduce the price of the new person's monthly rent to attract more potential subletters.

Update : her apartment was already on the schools transfer page plus word of mouth through her friends around campus

We also added it to Craigslist and for incentives we are paying first months rent and security deposit as well as leaving a mini fridge , kitchen utilities and a wall rack in the shower . Good start ?

We have until December 23 to find someone or we are sol
