I own and live in a condo and currently have a friend renting a room and private bath with full use of condo. She is moving out to move in with her BF. I am having trouble finding a roommate. Condo is in great area, rent fair, but I must be advertising in wrong places. Craigslist is just sending scammers my way. I found “cozy” and advertised there too. Ideas? Thank you

Do you live near a large hospital? New employees coming from outside the area are often desperately looking for accommodations near the hospital. Call the hospital and see if they have an employee computer "bulletin board" to advertise your apartment.

Well, they were no help. Any other sites to recommend would be welcome. I’m just getting scammers everywhere I’m looking

As to where: padmapper and craigs cover the territory.
As to the Hospital (or other large employer) idea... it's a good one.
But it usually requires personal contact with someone there who knows the name of the
contractors they use for their recruiting. Learn who the contractor is.
---

1) Try it from the other direction: people looking for a place.
2) The older your ideal market gets the fewer good choices you'll have and the more personally
reliable they are the more frequently they'll be rotating through before moving into their own home.

You'll end up with either traveling nurses on three month contracts or the best of the grad school students.
Neither of these are bad options but understand it. Plan your lease stop/start dates around their schedules
and block an empty month or two now and then: for you to go away or just to clear your head between.

I use Zillow, Trulia and Hotpads. I never advertise on Craiglist due to the scams there
