We are at the end of our lease with this apartment, and we're running into some final issues. Besides this apartment being a horrible experience (not having functioning AC for a month, bugs, laundry facilities not working consistently, etc.), we were finally able to get our 60 days notice in to move-out. Unfortunately, they didn't send me the form until a week after our lease ended despite multiple phone calls from me. I was out of town for a funeral, so I should've just sent them an email, but that's on me.

I asked if there's any way we could terminate our commitment sooner since they were supposed to send me the form and didn't, so I had to call again to get what I needed to terminate the lease, and we don't exactly feel safe with our next neighbors having had the cops called on them multiple times and have knocked on our door drunk at 4AM...they said no. Now, we're dealing with our rent being more than $100 compared to a full month of us living here. Our itemized statement shows we are paying for the entire month despite our end date being the 19th. Is there anything we can do about this? Nothing in our lease states we have to pay the full month...so it's very weird that we're doing that now.

Unless you had an agreement for pro-rated rent (VERY rare), yes - you're obligated for the full month from the 1st of the month.

TexasRedneck is correct above.

Also, all of the things you are complaining about now, as being unsatisfactory in the past, are irrelevant since you did not provide a timely written notice to the landlord regarding these difficiencies at the time.
