Not that I owe anyone any explantaion, but I'll answer this time. I wasn't boasting about it. I said in the other thread, didn't need to work for now when discussing having to be out there working in public. I actually haven't had to commute out there to a job for the last 6 yrs now, so obviously way before COVID, but COVID has now affected my employment. Sure, I could try to still apply for this thing & see. All they'll simply say is Y or N. Fortunately, God's blessed me to be able to afford the rent so far so I'll probably just keep going as I am. God's blessed me in some hairy situations throughout my life, so I don't really fret because He'll carry me through like he often has before.

The OP may not be eligible. The program is based on a qualifying review of actual need. Unlike the welfare handouts occurring with unemployment, participants in this program will need to be vetted to ensure the need is real. Since resources are scarce, administrators have a bit of leeway in how much tighter they make the qualifications. This program aims to avoid many of the mistakes being made with all the other pandemic money giveaways by making it payable direct to the landlord who must enter into a pretty specific legal contract and undergo a vetting process as well. So, being eligible to apply does not mean a person's personal financial picture will make them eligible for actual funding.
