If you signed a one year lease, The start and end day shows 365 days.
But the landlord, put a pro-rented charged in there, meaning you moved in a few days earlier, eventhough you didn't. You moved in at the start of the lease date.
I've never thought about a year lease in terms of the total number of days, but rather in number of months.
What is your monthly rent? What day of the month did you move in? It's normal to prorate the first month if you move in on any day other than the 1st of the month.
Typically I've dealt with year-long leases in terms of months where the first and last month were (usually) prorated to the percentage of days the lease is active in those months, assuming the move in/out dates don't fall on the beginnings/ends of the month. If your lease looks fishy, just ask your landlord for an explanation. If they dodge the question or just don't give a satisfactory answer, then I'd start looking at options.
forget about dates and such. I m purely talking about putting a charge on there that was made up.
Like if you buy a new car, and they charged you for adding undercoat protection to your car. You then find out it never happened.

So you're saying (for example) you got the keys on the 1st, and they're charging you as if you moved in on the 26th of the previous month or something?
