Yes, but a "standard" place won't always address a burned out bulb in the hallway when the others are still lit or dripping faucet or a bees nest on the balcony on the same business day. The place my mother is in will--and guarantees it or they will refund a portion of the rent!

Standard apartments also don't offer amenities like a concierge, doorman, and activities director.

But neither do all apartments advertised as luxury apartments. I've seen very few apartments claiming to be luxury that actually offer things like this. It probably depends on where you live, but it is certainly not the norm nationwide.

All I know is the more you pay, the better chance you'll have of not waking up to find the tires off of your car, or your neighbor throwing trash off of the patio into the common area or the police showing up frequently.

I am still debating if it really worth it to pay luxury rent for the stuff you get and will use it.

Technically yes but not guaranteed. Also I might be paying couple hundred $ less then most people in that complex. Promos!

It depends on your financial situation. My mother can easily afford it and uses many of the amenities. If you aren't going to use the amenities or it's going to be financially difficult, a non-luxury place in a safe area might be a better choice.

Don't need all that.

Main concern is safety, cleanliness, educated working class.

Then you should simply look for a basic apartment in a relatively safe area. If you aren't going to use the amaneities, why would you bother to look at luxury apartments?
