Take photos of the mold with a daily paper in the photo and have an independent witness watch you take the photos. Have the witness write a statement about the mold problem and have the witness write it in front of a notary public and have the notary stamp the document. Send copies of the affidavit along with the photos to the landlord and ask if he is prepared to face a counter suit. They will most likely back off.
