Recap:
A hearing on 11/12 ended in eviction for mom's tenants. The judge gave them three days to vacate. The writ of possession was issued today with the following recorded with writ "called paintiff for pickup."

Does this mean they have to be out today or do they have three days to vacate from receiving the letter?

If they are to be out today & are not, can we call the sherrif's dept. to remove them?

Anyone been through this?

Not sure, I'd think three days from the time of the ruling, but I admit I don't know for sure. In any case, yes you can call the sheriff to come put them out if it's time, and they haven't yet left. Just be there with a locksmith (or ready to change the locks immediately yourself).

Called the MCSO. They don't have the paperwork in, probably by 4 p.m. It's 3 days from today's date & the sherriff's will call the attorney who, in turn, will call me so we can immediately change the locks.

Yippe!

Are you sure they haven't left already...?

Today I walked by a rental and I saw last week the people were very busy moving everything out into a Uhaul....today I saw a letter hanging on the front door and walked over to see what it was saying...
"3 day eviction"...I guess the owner has no clue they are already gone and probably far away....

We were asked by the HOA to look at fliers on the door to avoid "squaters"...and call the HOA immediately if a flier is put on a door....that is why I walked over....

I drove by Saturday night & there was no sign of a move out; will check tonight...

These people won't be far away; they have businesses very close.

In my experience I've never seen one move out before the lock-out, their in some sort
of denial.

They do have a certain specified time (depending on the state)
to recover their personal property after the lock-out, but you would
have to let them in and go back and lock up, sometimes they get
even at that point.

Hopefully they'll get out before that point.

Good Luck

When they return to get their things I bet they take a booboo on your carpet.

They should never be allowed back in without you( or someone) escorting them.

Such negativity. Listen here, I think, first of all, we were lucky to get this eviction taken care of within one month's time, it could've taken a lot longer.

If they damage the home prior to vacating, they open themselves & their businesses to lawsuits; this is the type of story I'm sure would make front page headlines. It would not be a good thing in respect to whatever reputation they have as business owners in the community.
