I just filled out the application form and paid an application deposit by money order for an apartment a few days ago,but I changed my mind,can I get my deposit back? Any suggestion is appreciated.

It depends upon the agreement in the application. Sometimes it is refundable, sometimes not. What does your application say? You can always ask and see what they say.

It sounds like your asking about the application fee, in most cases there non-refundable.

The complex might have done a credit check for which they have to pay and for the work they did aswell...so never sign or fill out a form unless you are 100% sure.

I had to give up a $700 deposit when I backed out of an apartment. I sent a letter threatening legal action stating that all deposits are refundable under CA law, but they saw through the bluff and I had to eat it. That's life.
