why cant the kids play in the yard or parking lot? Are there no parents around?
We have never lived in an apartment with a playground and our kids played in the yard and parking lot. Especially at our last apartment. Shoot, we have a house now and theyd rather play in the parking lot than their own backyard!
I remember playing ball in the parking lot. But those places also had Speed Bumps to keep people from running over us. place I live now say 5 mph But most go 15+ no speed bumps!
Wondering why the tenants who are complaining moved into a place that allows kids? Obviously they could see that the place offered no place for the kids to play and should have known once warmer weather comes along that they would be hearing kids outside. I just don't get some people
No such thing as a complex that doesn't allow kids unless you're dealing with 55+ housing, and even then children are allowed to visit. In some circumstances they're allowed to live there as well. Adults under 55 years old don't get a choice of "adult only" apartments. They do not exist.
No, complexes are not required to entertain your children. At all.
Pool privileges are just that: privileges.
Next time buy a house or rent an apartment near a park.
OP, as far as I know there isn't any state that requires a playground for tenant's children.
If there are noise complaints about your children, you are not supervising your children adequately. If your kids need playground equipment, take them to the park and let them play there.
If you turn your kids loose to bother other people, as long as they don't bother you, you are going to constantly run into complaints about your children's behavior and may not have your lease renewed. Children should be taught to behave themselves appropriately for whatever situation they are in. Loud and rowdy is not appropriate behavior under people's windows and playing in a parking lot is not appropriate, either.
