I saw that.interesting that they think they can make a succdess of what GM couldn't. Looks good for owners of Hummers.I also saw that Ford sales where the highest last month since july of 2008.So that is looking better for Ford.

I am happy for Ford. I think they are a great company that is producing great cars. The F-150 can not be beaten by any foriegn company. Many of their new models are very appealing. Buy American!

I am very pleased about Ford's good news, but I still can't believe that Hummer is now going to be under Chinese ownership. It's sad to see to brand sold, but hopefully it will result in a stronger and viable GM.

You're going to be seeing a lot of Ford models originating from Europe in the near future.

I see no great loss that Hummer is going Chinese. These behemoths
are a dying bred anyway so why not stick the Chinese with these white
elephants?

I just can't see these tiny Chinese people driving huge Hummers. If they plan to sell them in the US--the US Market is dead for Hummers and would get even worse once people find out they are made by the Chinese.

They are buying the brand name and probably diversifying the product portfolio.

Gm sales down 30+% over last year at this time;chrysler down 40%. I really doubt that gm or chrysler is going to make it unless we keep feeding them money. At some point the congress is going to stop wanting to. Already their are going to be hearings now on the dealership and other issues that have been put thru by the auto taskforce.

Well, the good side is that it did save some jobs here in the states. Not that I was going to purchase one, but if it's China owned, not a fat chance in hell.
