I thought maybe the folks on this forum would find this website really interesting and might like to look at it. It's a blog, of sorts, but concerns ALL things Senior and has different people who contribute on interesting topics. It covers Social Security, Medicare, the health bill, senior health, aging in general, politics, you name it. Right now Ronni Bennett, who's the owner of the site, is thinking she wants to do a Reverse Mortgage so she's doing an in depth investigation about the whole thing from start to finish. At the end, she either will or won't get one. I saw it as a topic here and thought maybe the person who posted it might be interested. It gives the whole process, the good, the bad and the ugly about it. Lots of questions answered. Part 4 is now up but past posts are easily accessible.

Ronni Bennett spent most of her career years in NYC working in media. She retired a few years ago, sold her apt. in NYC and moved to Portland, Maine. It's been interesting reading her 'adventures', in between all the informative 'stuff' she posts. She lived in Maine for a few years and is now moved back to her 'roots' in Portland, OR. Her blog has been up and running for, maybe six years, and I've read it almost from the start. She is, pretty much, renowned now and because of her we have a LOT of Senior Bloggers, which she has listed on her site. Her profile tells her story.

It's just a really enlightening and enjoyable website for Seniors/Retirees/anybody who's interested in all things Senior. Or, maybe for younger people who wonder "What will it be like, when I get older?". I love it!

The URL is: Time Goes By - What it's really like to get older

LOL...I only check in there about once a week. I spend way too much time here to do otherwise. Oh...and my other forum websites! I am a 'forum freak' I guess but, geez, all my friends live in my monitor!

That is an interesting site. I especially like the discussion about J. S. Bach, being a musician myself and having always liked his music. Thanks!

You're welcome. That same guy has a LOT of columns about all genres of music. It's really interesting and I think he posts once a week.

I'm bringing this thread up again just because I think there are a lot of folks here who would enjoy this ladies blog. She had a good one about "losing our looks" that fit right in with one our threads. She is one of the biggest advocates for Seniors that I've ever come across and I love her blog. Check it out...you might really like it!
