I have several plans, with some I'm retired in a 3rd world country on 100k or less, some I'm a millionaire here in US, we'll see how it plays out, but I am done working sometime in 2015. I have inventions to develope, a couple of bizes to develope, etc, and I have to wait on Big Bro about a couple of things, for a year or a bit more. Then I can put the hammer down. I am done paying taxes to the people who just want to enslave or destroy me.

Husband is eligible to retire in February - so now talking about where to live in retirement. I still have 10 years to go, and he said after February he would be happy to follow my career for a while - (we have moved twice because his promotions). So looking at either Central TX or Central AZ.

Sorry to say, taxes do not go away, they follow you into retirement, and actually beyond. My dad died in Feb of 2010, can't file his final tax return until after Jan. 1, 2012.

I recently retired for the 3rd time, I am hoping this time it will be a charm for me!

Best of luck to you!

Neither the U.S. government nor the State of California nor the County of Los Angeles wants to enslave or destroy me. What is so special about you that you come in for such attention? Normally you will be paying taxes where ever you live because taxes are the price of civilization. Do you have something against paved roads, public libraries, safe drinking water, police and fire protection, sewers, trash collection, public education, and the like?

Good luck with your grandiose plans and with all the things you want to develop (which has no "e" at the end, by the way). Sounds like you will soon be rich and you can look down your nose at the rest of us slobs who are just living normal but comfortable lives not encumbered with all the bitterness and resentment.
