Yay gentle arts! What a wonderful event to look forward to.

I crochet, don't knit, & my granddaughter had tons of hand made blankets she then used for her dolls when she was older.

That's a great idea. I just found a pattern to knit a baby sack that looks like a peapod. The kids are calling the baby chickpea, so, I can't wait to make it.

We have a yours, mine and ours family, and five lovely grandchildren, the youngest just finished high school. So it's been 18 years since the last grandchild, and this will be our first "ours". We can't wait to see her.
My knitting needles are going at warp speed.
Congrats! Thirty-two years ago, today I found out I was going to be a grandpa. I wasn't particularly happy as my son and his gf were very young. Once my granddaughter was born, my thoughts changed. I didn't think those kids were going to make it. But they are still together.

Your name reminds me of the song " Dear Hearts and Gentle People"

Weather ? Well it gives us something to chat about ! Remember hearing about the Kansas City, years ago. Do not like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change !

Grew up in CA, earthquakes every once in a while, just came with in living in Northern CA. Pray for those folks living in the wild fire areas.

Worked in the garden this morning starting about 5am before it got to 100 degrees. Pulled weeds, played in the dirt. Everything is doing really well, except for my kale, romaine lettuce and spinach which the rabbits ate. That's ok, in another few weeks I'll have tomatoes, peppers, squash, onions, and later this year cantaloupe and watermelon.

Yeppers, it's raining here too. Told you that the monsoon was going to start showing up. I hope we have a nice strong one with plenty of rain in it!
