I woke up this morning to an overcast sky and a temperature of 31 degrees. Even though there's light rain, I'm a happy camper, as today's forecast now predicts the temperature should reach the low 40s. Tuesday's forecast still stinks, but I'm now happily floating down the river of denial. I could live here forever.
Well, got to get my rig up to the barn and unload the 200 pounds of sand and 120 pounds of icemelt into the barn. Perparing for a rain and sleet event will make my corral a skating rink.
Then DH will look at my left front caliper to make sure it's not falling off. If not, we will take her to the service department to find out what those crazy noises are in the left front.
Ugh.
I bet you're glad you are prepared for the ice - what a mess ~ and ~ a lot of work to "be prepared".
I am going to brave it and go grocery shopping and also pick up more ice melt.
Think: Florida
It's +1 here which seems to be the low for today. Projected high is 6 but 30 tomorrow and 39 Tuesday. Everything is dusted with snow. It really is beautiful.

Hope you are all staying warm.
Don't stay home. Go take some pictures of Minnehaha Falls and post them. Nothing beats a frozen waterfall for ethereal beauty and you're fortunate enough to have one of the best right in a city park. Lucky you in that boreal wonderland.

After reading the past few posts, I will never complain about my 28 degree mornings ever again.
And I promise I'll stop whining about 60 too! But this is why we have all our Snowbirds every year. They are loving it and NOT missing the weather back at 'home base'.
Well~~ it is now -20F with a wind chill about -50F. We haven't had temps like this since 1888. Can't wait to complain about the heat.
