32 degrees here with rain (possibly turning into sleet/freezing rain).
Yeah..today is an inside day for me.

And to think..just 2 days ago it was near 70 and sunny.
Looks like this cold front will be here for the week. Back to 60's by next weekend.

Inside??? If it were 32 here we'd be out sledding with the grandkids. It's about 12 right now with a "real feel" of 1.

You have to remember that in the south 32 is cold.
Many moved away from the north to escape the cold, harsh winters.

Off and on, we've been in the single digits (and negative with the windchill) and I'll admit I'd rather have these low temps than your 32 degrees AND rain.

the Siberian Express has arrived. Roaring winds, -10F this morning, a high of 12F.

I can't wait to be the garage sale folks selling all their snow stuff!

We're all wondering what March will bring. In like a lion? We have frigid temps through the weekend and then...another round of snow on yet another Sunday.

Needless to say I and thousands of others have been perusing the Net this past month for other climes. But...yesterday I got "sung to" for the first time by two 2-year-olds in unison, Twinkle Little Star all the way through, and then a bear hug with "I love you nana." I have to figure out something before the arrival of next winter if I'm going to handle it all again next year. I guess it will be the snowbird thing, in January. Any recommendations for finding a reputable leasing agency welcome.

Enough of this crap. I'm watching the news - ice and accidents all over - Texas really got hit with ice. Except for the periodic Siberian Express, we've had no ice and little snow. Little snow isn't a good thing here - we need it to insulate our trees/bushes/plants or they could die. Spring will tell. It is coming, ya know - spring.

LOL, Umb, it's getting pretty old. -21F this morning.

Boston has had 99.9 inches of snow this winter, Albany NY 79. We have your snow.

They shut down the Thruway out near Syracuse/Buffalo again yesterday, big pileup accident.

By Sunday we should catch a break (crossing fingers) hang in there, all..........

negirl, I know leaving those grandies is your biggest obstacle, I feel for you.

As of today, the snow total for Philadelphia for this winter of 2014-2015 is 15 inches.

We really have dodged most of the snow storms that have affected the northeastern states. Unfortunately we've had some really bone-chilling cold nights ... in fact last night it dipped down into the single digits - very, very rare for Philadelphia which is in the same garden hardiness zone as the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Alabama. Plants like bamboo and camellias and even certain types of hibiscus grow out of doors here.

Anyone else into gardening?
