[quote=Wisteria;9854972]The Universe works in mysterious ways!
I don't have much anyway, so I can start anew -- and it may be better to start fresh. After all, hopefully, this will be the last home I live in (unless I totally forget who I am and then I guess I'll be someplace else and not know it! ).
It will be very strange to live in town after 13 years of living remotely in the woods. I am looking forward to it now. At first, I was a bit nervous about leaving here, but now after being there more often, I am seeing things I just never noticed before: various kinds of ethnic restaurants, shops, cafes, little things that I just never saw.
Yes, Wisteria, the universe does work in mysterious ways. As to starting new, being a bit nervous, and seeing old things for the "first time," well, I can vouch for that. I feel like I am in a whole new area and community, going places and seeing things I overlooked for 23 years.
I just joined this fantastic gym (RDV Sportsplex - home of the Orlando Magic). It is an amazing facility with lots of "older", fit people as members, no contracts to sign, cheaper than the YMCA (have to be 63 to be a "senior" at the Y and only 60 at RDV). The facility has everything - machines, treadmills, yoga and pilates, etc., and a fantastic indoor swimming pool for water exercise and laps, great women's locker room with wonderful hot pool and cold pools. I also get three sessions with a personal trainer to set up a program that is right for me. It's been here for years and I just ignored it.
You are starting a whole new life and I am so happy/excited for you!
P.S.: After all the head scratching, breast beating, and hours of lost sleep waking up in a panic "What am I going to do? "Where am I going to live?" it is amazing to find your new home and happiness in your own backyard. I just feel more alive, hopeful, and at peace. I know you will too.

Reason: Adding a p.s.
I'm working on getting a website together for them. One that would be password protected. There's some good software out there, I'm trying to find the most appropriate. Maybe this weekend I'll have a beta version up. I'll see.
Location: Monterey Bay, California -- watching the sea lions, whales and otters! :D

I'd love to contribute, too, however, I'm still in the midst of selling my home and buying another! I will have to wait until I move -- approximate dates between August 7th and August 11th. I have sooooo much to do!! I can barely get on City-Data anymore! Now that's a tragedy!!
I do lurk, but I haven't had time to write much -- in time.
Thanks to all the "Congratulations" on me finding a home in Santa Cruz. My mortgage loan was approved (yes, I do have to carry a mortgage, but I would have anyplace I went to), and the new buyers are very excited about moving here to my "Enchanted Gardens" home. I'll be sad to not see the beautiful gardens here, but on the other hand, being in town will make it so much easier for me. I'm sure I'll spend much more time at the ocean now that I'll be only a few blocks from it.
Just checking in, glad to see all is well. Where is Anomoly?? Did you get to Santa Fe??? We need another blog entry!
I did have my Open House today so maybe, just maybe one of those people will make an offer. I know I kept telling wisteria, "It only takes one buyer" , but I am starting to get a little nervous and I have already reduced the selling price. It is scary out there, I think.

Good luck and hope a great buyer shows up!
