Neither one of you are open minded enough to let readers decide for themselves the value of this thread so you decide to kill it. THAT is called censorship. Not something I'd guess that you'd like done to your threads.

My mom always told me that if you can't say something nice keep your mouth shut! Works here for me!

How is disclosing where a thread came from killing it?

I like to keep an open mind and read several viewpoints. Reading doom and gloom isn't so bad.
We really can't ignore all the possibilities.

The days of CD and bond interest to supplement retirement income are gone and may be for a long time.
I wouldn't have thought that 10-15 years ago.

What's logically next is for you to stop reading nothing but apocalyptic sources and spreading their gloom-and-doom as if it's gospel

The funny thing is: I actually DO believe that the Gov't is (As Bernackie said when questioned by Ron Paul) destroying it... He said (Not a direct quote) That people WOULD get all their social security money. But when pressed admited he could NOT say anything about the BUYING POWER of that money at that time. (Read continued inflation.)

However yourself, and your sources are what leads me to say what I said.

Also, your command of the English language is called into question by your response.

English Dictionary
Quote:
1. a policy or programme of censoring 2. the act or system of censoring 3. psychoanal the activity of the mind in regulating impulses, etc, from the unconscious so that they are modified before reaching the conscious mind
In order for me to have censored you, I would of first had to have some power to do so. I merely presented a counter opinion you disliked, and you, true to form began throwing around groundless allegations in order to attempt to smear us.

I am also VERY tired fo your continued attempts to tell others what they should and shouldn't do on an open forum. (Which you are not a moderator of.)

Have a nice day.

It is true that the fed has become a huge power in government with no direct supervision and it is questionable that the creation of devalued money without congressional approval is constitutional.

Many see the distortion in the marketplace caused by fed policies as destructive... I know that zero interest rates, the treasury issuing debt and the fed buying it, trying to use monitory policy to fight unemployment and make up for irresponsible fiscal policy makes no sense to me.

Fed policy has forced savers to accept negative returns or take on more risk so I agree it is not good for the retired populace.

It is very hard for me to be positive about the fiscal future of this country.
