Lots of people go through some sort of "rebel phase," or "going against the man" as they grow up. Looking back, many of us view our earlier rebellious phases as a little embarrassing and misguided. As I look back, I realize I was a rebel, but don't apologize for it - rather, it's made me who I am today.
Did you have that rebellious phase? How does it look in your old age?
Our politicians today were the drug addicted hippies of the 60's with their "stick it to the man" attatude.
Opposite.
I don't know what our politicians today are except greedy liars. But the hippies of the 60s were not all drug addicts and originally they only wanted to improve the world. I am still against huge corporations and monopolies. Still against that tiny percent that holds all the money and have bad values. Still have my original hippie idealism.

Interesting, "supposedly" you're "30 yrs. old" yet you are "looking back". To what? Like when you were a rebel on your tricycle?
Have pretty much always been one who is ready to run for the hills if someone tried to fence me in Was never involved in any type of public demonstration/picketing though.
Am very independent and used to get on my soapbox regarding my personal views; have mellowed out over the years and learned to listen to other opinions and have learned a lot.

THAT! Yes exactly. I learned to think "outside the box" and it has served me well through out my life.
I am grateful that I learned it young.
