Thanks guys and gals for the nice comments. Actually 2 weeks was enough. We spent 1 full month in Hawaii two years ago and that was too long. 2 weeks was just enough time to where I actually missed my house and tired of the beach. Ha, ha. By the end of the trip we were all glad to be home and sleeping in our own beds.
We went to the beach every single day. Keep in mind I live 10 minutes from my house to the beach so I go often but rarely spend all day everyday there. As the saying goes..there's no place like home.
Vermont certainly cannot compare with Hawaii, but here's a taste of the northern part of the Green Mountain State — Lake Champlain from the U.S. side with a cell phone camera. Restaurants and bars dockside all along the shore (not honky tonk, but pleasantly weatherbeaten). Burlington is quite a pricey city, home of U-Vermont, voted one of the 10 best college educations in the country. I wouldn't mind going to school here.

Beautiful and it brings back memories. Took the ferry across Lake Champlain one time and a really dangerous electrical storm came along. We arrived safely at the other side but I didn't enjoy that ride very much. It's a lovely area to visit though.
Not very original, but made me laugh just the same!
Both posters pictures are breathtaking to me. I don't "get out much", so I love to see the beauty of the world, specifically our own USA, through others' pictures and eyes.
Thank you both. I look forward to many pictures on this thread.
