My wife has about six months left and is really looking forward to retirement.
The only stress and anxiety producing part of it is packing all our stuff and our six cats and moving a thousand miles to our new house.
We have accumulated a lot of stuff over the years and have been selling and giving away tons of it, but we still will have a bunch of stuff to get rid of and the remainder to pack and haul.
I know what you mean, we will be packing up stuff from our home of 15 years. My husband is a mechanic by trade and enjoys high performance tinkering so you could probably guess the treasures that we have hanging around our shop.
I've been working on down sizing for the past year and doing pretty good, the house won't take much but oh the shop I dread. We will be moving 3700 miles from where we are at now.
3-1/2 months for me. Looking forward to it but will miss the people with whom I work so have to reinvent my social life but there are so very many activities for retirees now!
Congrats on the 3.5 months. we are down to 160 days. We will be headed down to our property over the Christmas break and then the next time we see it it will be for an extended period of time.
