Background:
From my own perspective only, I'm far behind most. We had a life changing event in 2012 which we were ultimately successful in but it cost us much money and hurt us work wise with some.
Trying to come back so I created 4 goals. To me, goals are good and I love working towards something.
Part 1 of 4 - I can this being completed in the next 60 days and while I'm happy about it, it is putting pressure on the Part 2 of 4 which has to do with renovating the home.
We love where we live and renovating was the plan, however, I'm beginning to question that decision.
I went home last night and one of our dogs (collie) was in doggie day care for the evening so it was so quiet with just my husband and our 2 Shelties. Too quiet. The house seemed too big all of sudden and maybe, I'm just looking for an excuse not to renovate. (Our kitchen and baths are from the 1980's).
Now, I find today, I'm not as excited about completing Part 1 of 4. Kind of almost dreading it.
Anyone else second guess themselves on things?
Parts 3 and 4 have to do with us paying off our current mortgages on an investment property and primary home.
We won't make #4 completely but getting #1 through #3 will let us contemplate the future much better whether it entails a condo on the beach (our daughter's choice for us - LOL), a move to a different area (who knows) or a 55 plus or staying where we are.
If we were to move from our present location, we would have to sell a business and maybe start one where we relocate to but that will become more clear down the road.
I will say that I do believe our daughter was correct when she talked about us moving when she mentioned that the demographics in our neighborhood would begin to change. I actually can see her point now as I do see younger families moving in and eventually, even though we love where we live, I don't know if I want to be the oldest couple on the street (there are 9 right now older than us and some way older than us so no rush right now but time goes fast).
