local meteorologists have scored pretty low . national weather service is far more accurate . they should forget their own guessing and just use the national weather service .

The sample size for the Freakonomics article was way too small to draw any conclusion.

Since you seem to be getting caught up in that detail, replace "meteorologist" with "NWS analyst", if that makes it easier for you. You won't have your analyst job at the NWS for long if each day you say "either it'll rain or it won't".
