I'm willing to bet you had an opinion about it and knew what it was.

For someone born in 1963 it would be considered history. Most 6 year old kids in 1969 - 70 were probably not very interested in the contemporary rock and roll of the time.

Meanwhile, you were in your mid twenties at that time. Not sure of your musical taste but I bet you must have been exposed to psychedelic music and regarded it with a young adult perspective.

Born in 1946. Was exposed to it and disliked it immensely. Particularly disliked protest music. To me, Woodstock was a waste. But then, I was a veteran when Woodstock took place. Kinda funny since 19 years ago I married an original 60s hippie. Go figure! But I'm still "establishment," she's still a hippie and we separated a few months ago. They said it would never last!

But we both retired comfortably, her at 54 and me at 62 with decent pensions and excellent benefits. At least we did something right.

'58 so I was pre-teen and listening to the music (on handheld AM transistor ) but not living the lifestyle. 70s music had more impact on me. I am from the little window of time where we were never required to register with selective service and they tried letting 18 year old high school seniors be full adults. They decided those were both bad ideas. They shaped us though.
