Congrats! To celebrate my retirement (5 years ago), I threw away my alarm clock. Whatever I have to do (appointments, running errands for shut-ins, etc) is done in the late mornings afternoons.
Congratulations! One of the best things about retirement is the freedom it gives you. You can do, or not do, anything you want whenever you want now. It's really amazing and much better than I anticipated. I hope you kick back and enjoy it.
Good for you. Lucky to retire early. I pulled the plug at 63 and have now been retired for 6 years. Moved all the way across country to live where I'm at now.
Well, today is my first day of retirement. Finished working with the agency I worked in now for awhile yesterday at 4 PM. Feeling pretty good about it but of course I'm always a little conservative just by nature so not like I'm jumping up-and-down screaming or anything. LOL. I just turned 61 a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for everyone's guidance along the way and I will keep you posted!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! PLEASE tell us that you actually slept in this morning with no alarm set.
