Live at the base of the mountains but yet all the sandy beach you've ever wanted is just hours away at the Great Sand Dunes National Park
Dry air with no bugs but lush greenery all around (fine print "if you pay $100s to water your grass lawn")
300 days of sunshine that burn that snow off the ground so quick you won't even know it fell
Nature is all around. Bears will frolic in your backyard (please don't feed them as they will shoot them if you do). Should a moose wander by please don't get too close. They will stomp you and then someone will want to shoot the moose.
Basically it is everything you ever wanted with all the amenities of every place you have ever lived without any of the things you didn't want, all at a super low cost. (microfine small print "if you're from CA or NYC")

Maybe it's me but points #3, #7 and #11 seem conflicting.
3. Said home must be within walking distance of world-class opera, symphony, major museums, genuine ethnic restaurants, and a good supermarket. (said events would generate traffic / noise)
7. Close proximity to major international airport as well as internationally recognized hospital and an excellent public library.
11. Within easy walking distance of hiking trails that have a rural feel and no traffic noise.
.....and WHY would anyone want all of those things ER? Would it make a difference in the happiness at peace scale? Prolly not. Your reverse psychology works for me :-).
Colorado might be the wrong answer! Was it last year or the year before when Colorado was in the national news over and over again for some kind of disasters, either natural or man made.
Now, I heard tonight that Denver is one of the top sanctuary cities in the US that shield criminal illegal aliens from the law.
The nudist colony on Mars. That's the place for you ER or should I say ET?
