Same here. Apples are one of the best. I won't skip on eating well, but eating less. Just can't eat so much anymore without getting a bellyache, darn it.

We're all foodies in my household. I'm probably the least picky, but still pretty darned picky.

Processed food/junk food tastes unacceptably awful to me anymore, as does anything that is quite salty or sugary.

No skimping on exercise either. I refuse to give in to the inevitability of aging without a good fight. Plus, it feels so great to be in shape.

I won't give up Mitchum Deodorant/antiperspirant. It just works for me. I can get some cheaper, but I'm not going around stinking to save a few pennies!

I won't give up my pets----3 kitties.and their food, medical care, etc.

I won't skimp on my outdoor time. I need the sun, the wind, the rain and snow. I must have my quiet lake with its shady spots. A soft spot of grass or moss to relax on. Views of the mountains and valleys, a forest with the scent of pine needles springing up with each footstep. The call of the loon, the drum of the woodpecker, the cry of Canada geese flying overhead. Fireflies in the evening, and more stars than you could ever see with city lights around. The sound of steaks sizzling over a campfire, and a string of freshly-caught fish. Sunrise before anybody else is up, and a fiery sunset viewed with a special grandchild.

There are things in life that money just can't buy, but are free to anybody willing to notice them!

I will never skimp on good shoes or good, healthy foods. Cheap shoes lead to foot, ankle, back and hip problems. I see so many people here in Florida wearing flip flops all the time. They are going to regret that in a few years when they suffer with plantar fasciitis and other foot related issues.

We are only given one body to use while we are here. We need to take care of it by eating healthy. Sure it might be cheaper to eat pasta or mac & cheese every night but you will pay for it in the end with diabetes, obesity, etc.

comfortable temp in my house

I could never understand how co-workers used to brag that their house was chilly in winter because they wanted to save on the heating cost.

Keeping my house warm in winter was one of the reason I had a job ( not going to go cold or hungry in my house )

I certainly won't have my house chilly in winter just to save money now in retirement.

(groceries) I try off brands and if they are ok I use them.

I will not settle for bread that isn't soft and stays soft more than a day or two..regardless of price difference
off brand soups just aren't the same
off brand coffee doesn't cut it either
