Mine is: Saturday is the new Monday. I tend to stay in due to traffic and crowds. I read, cook, do laundry, etc. Weird but true!
I'm not getting this - how is Saturday the new Monday? and why is that 'weird'?

I don't quite get it either, but we're all free now to change the days around to suit ourselves. I try to stay around the house on weekends because I have all week to go out and do things. The stores and everything else are crowded on weekends.

Monday was always the day of dread. Now it's nothing. Just another day. Actually, Sunday evening was the most horrible of all. Knowing your freedom was almost gone, getting your clothes ready for the next day, preparing mentally, going to bed early so you could get up at the crack of dawn. Sunday=bleh.

Saturday is laundry day. Sunday is scooter riding day out into the countryside. Monday is whatever I feel like!
Or maybe none of that! LOL

ROFL, are you judging their "costumes"?

Leaving the house without any make up on and not giving a damn.

I get it, although I would say that Monday is the new Saturday. I look forward to Monday since that is the start of my 5-day goof-off week. Weekends are now for working on the house and yard. Total reversal.

I thought I was going to do a lot of cooking from scratch once I retired. Then I found out how much work it is and how messy and time-consuming it is. Now my attitude is Hey, I'm retired. Why should I slave over a hot stove all day? Thank heaven for convenience foods. If Trader Joe's ever goes out of business, we'd starve.

ROTFLMAO as someone asked are you judging their outfits? Can you send one or two of the plumper ones towards me? LOL

This is so true. I will tell you that if it wasn't for the fact that I have nephews that are still in school living with us I would not know what day of the week it is at all. They run together so easily and with my only commitment is to drive Peter to and from school the rest of the day is mine to fill. Next year Peter will be boarded at school so sleeping late is going to be the norm maybe. I think though that we might get in some US travel during that time. I think that sometime next year I will plan a trip to Winslow Arizona. I want see if a flatbed Ford will slow down and take a look at me.

I now have 2 categories of clothing: ''lounge wear'' and ''active wear''. The first is for hanging around the house and for sleeping. The second is for ''going out'' which could mean to the grocery, golfing, library, park, etc.
Sometimes the ''lounge'' category crosses over to the grocery aisle, especially late at night! LOL
