Haven't read the thread, as I am male and would have nothing to contribute, but I am reminded of the following little story: A man says to a woman, "Say, I heard you lost 15 pounds! Uh, turn around, I think I've located them!"
Them's fighting words, Escort Rider.
I'm working on a comeback, along with hundreds of others, I would reckon.

Reason: typo
Actually I am in better shape now than I was in my 20's. And allowing for age, I look better too. Age does lower the bar a lot!
I have vowed never to sport the grandma/grandpa gave up look!
Hopefully I am currently sporting the "grandma gave up" look.
If not I am certainly not going to work any harder to achieve that than I do its polar opposite.
Oh yeah, and I do wear, and have always worn, so-called "granny panties". Much more comfortable than having to dig a thong out of the crevices of one's nether regions every 5 minutes.
I am reminded of a common saying when I was young.

"What you see is what you get."
Uhm...big secret - a real thong is meant to be in your crevice...if you wear one correctly for a few days it won't bug you in the slightest. Also, there's a wide range of options between thong and granny panties, including bikinis, boy-leg, hipsters, french cut, etc. I won't be caught dead in granny panties...pun intended.

Hey, quiet as it's kept, granny panties are very comfortable. Who needs sexy undies when shopping at the market or putting gas in the car?
Community seems to make quite a bit of difference. In Park City, retirees are quite thin by US standards but in reality are normal sized human beings, and they seem to constantly exercise, with running & bicycling being predominant. Very, very few women have chosen topological enhancements. In Las Vegas, retirees are not thin, even by US standards. Morbid obesity seems rampant.
Know what the truth really is? I wasn't an attractive baby/teen/young adult/middle aged woman. At some point I started appreciating my luck as I watched others worry about losing something they believed made them attractive. I would never have to face losing the same attributes. As a "brainy" sort, I guess my equivalent is going to be the atrophy of my once attractive mental abilities.

You beat me to it!!!
