My friend and I report to each other on the ONE thing/project we accomplished that day out of the usual everyday stuff after deciding that even one thing meant that we weren't lazy that day.
I have, at least, become a pro at something since retiring...procrastination.

Leaning no for knee surgery?

Please tell us that pun was intentional!

If you find that you've become unusually lazy/listless and you're a male, get your T-level checked. It dramatically takes away your drive to do anything if you get extremely low.

I'm so lazy, I'm going to have to take next week off to get some stuff done.

I'll get back to doing something useful as soon as I finish reading the entire Internet.

Not recently. We've taken on a project house. Nearly 4,000 sq. ft. with a lot of delayed maintenance. It is in Central MX so labor costs are low and we aren't doing any heavy lifting ourselves. But managing the work has become a full-time job. We are 80% done and getting ready to sit around the pool for awhile. But we have itchy feet and will start planning some independent trips around the country to buy furnishings for it. Never a dull moment!

Fess up...have you become lazier since you retired?
Yes!

Same here. If it gets done, it gets done. Otherwise, there's always tomorrow.

So lazy, it's not even funny. If I don't need to be anywhere, I'm fine just sitting around reading all day. I do still plan and make nice dinners every day, but I don't knock myself out on household tasks unless I have to.

I've started feeling guilty about this. I used to mop the kitchen floor every single day. On my hands and knees - so not really mopping. Also vacuum daily.

I would do the same to the bathroom. The washing machine was used daily. I cooked from scratch.

All that has changed. Now I just sweep every other day. If I turn on the stove once a week - that is a miracle! Its microwave, going out to eat or a sandwich.

Hopefully it is just the hot weather. I don't care if the AC is running, to me it is still too uncomfortable to do anything.

Who knows.

Maybe it is a mental rebellion. I hear what I consider my crazy sister talk about all the cleaning and grass cutting she does daily and since I consider her a nutjob, don't want to be like that!
