My claim made it through the medical records check and now its just sitting there. What should I do?

You might be able to tell if you go on line to your SS account.

the OP is filing for SSI which is Welfare not related to Social Security other than they administer it. The medical records part means the OP is not yet 65, under 65 you must be disabled by the same standards as if you were applying for SSDI.

If you filed your medical stuff than you should have a representative at your local SS office. If so call them to inquire about your claim. If not then call SS and ask for an update on your claim.

My eldest son is in about the same place as you at the moment except they gave him a date to see a doctor.

I went to the DHHS office today and it seems my social security has been approved.
