Boredom or seasonal disorder.

I am usually a happy go lucky person but even here in sunny south texas, the cloudy weather is annoying and just makes me feel so blah. Depressing. We are expecting colder weather this week.

One thing that has helped me is to stop watching all news programs. Hallmark Channel all the way. I think it has really helped me. Everyone is so cheerful.

The OP was writing about being in a rut. To me that is different than a seasonal disorder or the common depression that can occur with ageing. Someone who is lethargic and feeling sad or depressed needs to consider different options and probably medical attention.
