He has taken that test. The doctors aren't seeing him when the confusion hits. But it is very evident when it does and I have told them this too. His sister was the same way and her husband went through the same thing with the doctors that I am going through now.

Seems pretty easy if you don't have memory problems, but determinant of particular areas that are difficult for those who do.

Yes, I can count backwards by sevens and spell world backwards. But remember this simple rule: it’s normal to forget where you left your keys. Now if you forget what your keys are for, then you have a problem

I always thought counting backwards by 7 was a very unfair test. I have never been able to do math in my head. Always need a scratch pad.

Well that's only one wuestion, and you ahve to miss more than one to be diagnosed. And if you tell the doctor that you've always had a math issue, he probably wouldn't count that one. The answer that really makes them worry is if you say 100, 82, 71, 12, 43...
"They" have us believing there is a dementia crisis coming? Maybe they are counting on all the statins pushed on so many that dementia is a sure thing.
I posted what I do some posts back and certainly would not touch a statin and many of the drugs known to cause memory issues. One can do a search on that one.
