1. Naps whenever I feel like one.
2. Not having to leave the house if I don't want to.
3. Being able to stay home when I'm sick instead of having to drag myself to work.

6. No pantyhose, no high heels, no suits, doesn't matter what my hair looks like.
7. No fear that I'm finally going to go postal and beat the ***** out of some a$$hole that desperately needs it (just kidding, but some days...….)
I lived in Florida for 37 of my 40-year working career and only once commuted more than about 30-minutes. plus I always enjoyed my work and pretty much determined my own work, schedule and location.
Now, 10-years into a financially secure retirement, (#1) I still enjoy the FREEDOM to doing whatever I want, when I want with no accountability to anyone or anything ... other than what I choose.

I'm not retired just yet, but of this list, #3 would be my favorite thing! As I write this, I'm on my lunch break at work, with a sore throat and a headache. I can't tell you how much I dreaded crawling out of my warm bed this morning to stumble into a hot shower to try to dissolve the snot brick in my head so I could even breathe. Then brave the freezing cold for my 40 minute commute, and walk from the car about 1/4 mile to the building where I work; the freezing wind whipping though me like a bullwhip. All the while just thinking of that warm bed with the down duvet and the cozy kitty snuggled next to me. WAAAAHH!
On the panty-hose/heels/suits issue - luckily all those faded away in the last 10 years, leaving nowadays a very casual workforce. I pitched all of those items for jeans and t-shirts and never looked back. Now I can't believe I wore those torture devices all those years prior. Imagine ill-fitting pantyhose (cuz they're ALL ill-fitting) in 110 degree weather... OMG, I musta been insane!
