Mathjak 107, I loved the story of how you met your wife!
And I agree with you about going back to the "old fashioned" way of meeting people.

Yes! I couldn't agree more. Whenever a man becomes single in my area, especially an older one, the word "gets out" as you say.

I knew a man in his 50s one time, who worked with the public so had a lot of customers. His long time relationship came to a crashing halt when he discovered his girlfriend had been involved in illegal activities, so he broke up with her immediately. The very next day, everyone was trying to fix him up with their single female friends and relatives. He had been with this person for years, and this was a major upheaval in his life, he was grieving, and he was surprised (and appalled) at how the women were rushing at him.

According to statistics, there are more females than men in society. And as we get older, there are even fewer men. Many men are already happily married to their long time loves, and those that are single may be single due to bad behavior, shall we say, or are looking to latch onto a woman with money.

You are right. Ha ha ha. Ha ....besides they would have to understand they are second to my drums ...that is tough competition for a woman to deal with .... I am in to banging big time ...I did get a compliment from my wife , Friday ....she was upstairs while I was at the studio and she said if she didn’t know I was the only drummer there that day she wouldn’t have known it was me because the drumming is starting to sound so professional.....I wasn’t sure how to take it lol

Very nice, living the dream. My neighbor plays drum, he is teaching his young son to play drum, it’s so loud. But he is playing near our garage so we don’t hear him until we go out in the front.
You may want somebody a little deaf, actually that should be a requirement for your dating profile.

My wife always has ear plugs ....she lost hearing in one ear 20 years ago and doctors don’t know why ....so anytime she is around me playing she always protects her ears .

I am always experimenting with amplification techniques since in the shows I have been playing ,my drums are mic’d And they take on a totally different sound so they can get pretty loud at times in the studio ...

She is exposed to it for hours sometimes as I experiment and use her as my sound judge before I introduce these things I come up with in to the shows
