This poor lady looks like a real 70-something, not a 70-is-the-new-60-type. I hope she'll be okay raising small children. The husband, um no. The poor thing looks like he has only one foot out of the grave.
Remember the woman in Washington (?) several years ago who gave birth in her 60's? Within a few months, she had decided it was just "too much" and left the country, leaving the baby behind.
You're kidding? How does one leave the country due to not wanting to raise a baby? She could have put the child up for adoption. That was a foolish decision on her part. Is there a link?
From what I gathered from both articles, the woman will not breastfeed but use 'the milk bank'.
Also something about childless people cannot be 'willed' land but I'm wondering if that meant 'will land' because surely that ship has sailed?
Meaning that if a group of siblings co-owned land passed down from their parents but one couple had no children, when they died would their portion of land return to the government, thereby 'lessening' the entire families wealth?
I can see agreements being made where a younger generation would see raising an elderly aunt & uncle's child as preferable to having family land parceled out.
