Thanks all. It took a long time after losing my Chin to bring myself to get another dog. Just checked the paperwork and I misspoke. The "Humane Society" is in SoCal, (Riverside County). Just looked at the on-line Yelp reviews and some say that even though they advertise themselves as a no-kill shelter, they do euthanize animals who have been there too long without getting adopted. I'm glad I was able to give them a home. They are such sweethearts.
Many, many congrats!!!! I have to admit, I'm a little envious, and thank you for adopting especially a bonded pair.
Volo- how sweet of you to take them both. Cute little pups with great names. I wondered why so many were calling you volvo then I had to change my Volo when it was auto corrected to Volvo. Can't wait to hear of their progress. Congrats! Puppies are so much fun.
I've used YakTrax for years; they go on and off in a few seconds and work really well. I keep a pair near my front door. We don't get the snow and ice like we did back in northern IL, but we do get the occasional icing event here in the upstate of SC.
So I got notice from my prescription drug plan (that I have never used and probably will never use) that it's going up to $60 a month in January. $60??????? When I first enrolled it was $19. Am I required to have this? If not I'm canceling, this is crazy.
Thanks I only signed up because I was told there was a penalty for not having it. Stupid to pay for something I'll never use.
You don't have to have it -- but if you enroll more than 63 days after your initial enrollment period and can't demonstrate proof of comparable coverage in the interim, there is a penalty. See:
