I have listened to the Cars since maybe 1979. That was my High School music. A close friend got to know Ric. They stayed close for a few years. When Ric died he posted some of the pictures of them on his Facebook site.

He became bitter and unfunny sarcastic in his later years.

Saw him in a small concert about 2 years before he passed. His bitterness really came out and he was not funny.

Best to remember his early routines, days on SNL and the late show.

Joe Cocker and Leon Russell. They were among my favorites, and I used to go to their concerts back in my teens/early 20s.

He is the only one I actually shed a tear over. I know it wasn't because of HIM per see but what the Eagles represented.

Princess Diana
Even though I am a rightie now, I miss seeing JKF, jr and his wife. I have a feeling he would have gone into politics at some point.

Freddie Mercury.
Karen Carpenter
Johnny Carson. Every time I see him light up on the old episodes, it makes me sad. Ed McMahon, too.
Dick Clark
Kasey Kasem

Leon was one of the most overlooked Musicians ever by the public.

His recognition and reputation was huge among fellow performers. One of my all time favorites.

Not bad for a poor Oklahoma boy.

Leon Russell...... I only discovered him about a year ago with a song in a movie...... boo hoo I cannot remember the name of movie or the song........ but I loved it. He did a lot with Willie who is another favorite. (Movie had Michael Caine in it, too.)

I've been enjoying the Country Music shows on PBS. What great talent. And what they had to go through.
