Your post looked fine to me, including listening to birds.

Thanks, but about 3 paragraphs didn't show in the post. Ugh. Lol. Guess I still don't know what I am doing, go figure.

I sit on my porch and listen to the birds

Talking Last attempt as I have to bake.

Yep, it did it again. I think it was the pictures I added. Ok, without pictures.

I sit on my porch and listen to the birds talking and singing.

It is nice and relaxing. I am content. I spend my COVID 19 days by reading, watching TV and exercising. I have now lost 25 lbs since retiring and still trying to learn how to ride my new bicycle. Maybe I'll learn by next year, maybe not, but that is ok too.

Occasionally I hear from a former coworker complaining about his job. My advice to him last night was to relax as he will be retired next year. Other than his complaints; I am doing great and very happy I retired when I did. Well time to bake my own homemade granola bars.

Nodding my head at other people's posts, particularly:

More time to listen to music!

More time to listen to birds! And watch them. And photograph them.

I retired Jan 1, 2020.

3 weeks of idleness, 5 weeks taking a (gardening) class, and then the pandemic and lockdown (still).

Didn't go quite as I had planned but I'm grateful that I can hunker and probably get through it.

I would love to retire. I dislike my new job and I am worn out mentally thinking I will find something that I will enjoy. I will be 63 this summer. Hubby is older and he retired last fall.

We are 9.5 years into retirement. We retired early and we are very happy with that! I was very stressed my last year at work and was so happy to be done. After 2 years retired, we moved cross country from CA to TN. BIG move. We are so happy that we did. So many new things to see and do after living 50+ years at our old location. We've made new friends and found new hobbies. Financially it's worked out much better than we had anticipated. Our income is better than we expected and our expenses are lower than we had budgeted. We are starting to do some simplification around the house, and we will be doing more and more decluttering as time goes by. This was going to be a big travel year for me, so obviously that had to be put on hold. So I'm just going to focus on projects and getting healthier when the gym opens back up.

Retired life is good!
