Welp, I've decided to start my Social Security at 62. I was always a supplemental bread winner so it wont be a lot, but it will be a boost. Hubby still has a while to go before he retires. His job provides the benefits etc.
Anyway, it was sort of a last minute decision... only found out about applying 3 or 4 months early when I got on the website, so I applied early January with my birthday being Feb. 22. Got notice on Feb. 2nd that everything went through fine, and will receive my first check until April 30th.
Yippee! I get to spoil the granddaughters a little more!

Sounds like a good decision to me (collecting the SS)! The decision to hang around the forums more? Not so sure...
