I don't really have a bucket list, as in things I must do before I die, but here are some things I would like to do:
Visit the states I haven't been; North Dakota, Alaska, a few in the southeast.
Visit my fifth Great Lake, Ontario.
See the mermaid show at Weekie Watchee.
(We're RV shopping now.)
Try eating alligator, chicken and waffles, ostrich, emu, and kangaroo.
Finish some art/craft projects in progress.
Learn Blender 3D software.
Bucket List -
Would love to get my kids, grandkids and mom to the beach for a week. 13 adults, 11 children, 4 states, everyone works or is in school. It's my dream.
We rarely get to travel but would love to see Turks & Caicos and New Zealand.
I have an anti-bucket list - things I hope to avoid throughout my life. Changing a tire is one of them, so far so good.
Return to Everest/Khumbhu area fro trekking and see Mt. Everest from mighty Cho La pass. Was hoping to do it this year but too busy and uncertain about Covid risks
Skeleton coast in Namibia (aka Gates of Hell ) and Okavango swamp in Botswana
Beaufort sea - Not so much for the oil camp but the journey. Been to the Brooks range but would like to have a more substantial experience of the area
I only had two, and accomplished both of them. (Going on a Windjammer cruise and living in our dream home of our own design in a gorgeous location.)
In a way, that is sad, though, because I really don't have anything much to look forward to now except for the pandemic being over IF it is every over.
We are lucky we have inside dining & bars open. I so enjoyed eating out last week, I had forgot how much fun it can be.
My dream is to go on Safari in Africa & view the animals. I need to go before I turn 70. I also want to do a river cruise through the South of France.
We have restaurants AND bars open here in NC. But until 2 - 3 weeks after my second shot, I'm staying away.
We did a safari just a few years ago in the Eastern Cape (you don't have to take prophelatic malaria pills in that area). Expensive but the trio of a lifetime. But the plane ride(s) are hell.
